Before I was elected to Congress, I believed that individuals spent their own money better than the federal government. Believe me: I've seen nothing since coming to Washington that has changed my mind. In fact, my experience in Congress has reaffirmed this belief. Now more than ever, we have to keep taxes low. The last thing this economy needs is a tax hike.
